Hello! Welcome to Writers Club of America!
The writing industry is a thirteen-billion-dollar-a-year industry.** The vast majority of that industry is driven by people like you, in one fashion or another. If you go the traditional publishing path, you may land a very sweet check for signing with a publishing house, but your royalties will only be 15% of profit from sales, and approximately 72% of authors never see enough sales to be paid anything beyond the initial payout.
00:36
Self-publishing takes up more time and effort than writing. Those who succeed write multiple books and become marketing experts. A significant portion of the industry’s profits accrues while writers do all the work.
There’s also no shortage of “industry experts” offering course materials on both the traditional and self-publishing paths. The experts on both sides claim their side is better.
If you have taken any of the free courses on either side, they all seem to take you down the same path:
01:04
They ask about your hopes and dreams. This isn’t by accident; they all do this, as it is a marketing ploy to get you thinking loftily.
They trot out their successful students. They don’t tell you they have six thousand members, and the dozen they portray only make up point-zero-two-percent. Another marketing ploy.
Many will tout their own connections to the marketplace. This makes six-degrees-of-separation feel like it has suddenly dwindled to one degree. Another marketing ploy.
01:31
They just gave you a free course. You are made to feel special, like they are nice people who care about furthering your writing career. Another marketing ploy.
They all know the same thing. Even before your manuscript is complete, you have a deep desire to see it succeed. You put a lot of time and effort into your work, and the last thing you want to do is leave it lying on your desk.
You may have just gotten a free course, but as lengthy as the course was, more of it is like an infomercial to sell you on buying into whatever else they offer. They will claim that the information they offer is worth thousands of dollars, but if you join today, you can get the special price of just $599. Additionally, they will even break it up into an easy payment plan for you. If you have been down this road and joined some of these, then you may have also noticed that it doesn’t end with the $599, and each time they come out with new courses, they want you to pay more to access those as well.

At Writers Club of America, we believe there should be a better way. We don’t believe that all of your hard work and desires to succeed should cost you endlessly. We also don’t believe that you put all of that work into a manuscript to make other people wealthy.
We know that the real key to success is patience and persistence. Yes, you can get lucky and have something go viral, but we are not here to rely on luck or profit from your desire to succeed. We are here to make things real for serious writers.
We began by launching our first course on the mechanics of writing a book because if you don’t get that completed properly, it is unlikely that you can succeed, regardless of what path you attempt.
03:02
We do not advocate for one side or the other between traditional and self-publishing, but we do have an article that lays out our reasoning for attempting the traditional path first.
We then launched our course on the traditional path to publishing, providing all the details you need to give it a shot.
Next, we launched our self-publishing course. This course provides you with essentially everything you need to get started. However, because marketing is such a significant aspect of self-publishing, we will continue to add numerous other individual marketing courses. It simply isn’t practical to include all the course material on Goodreads, Facebook, Instagram, etc., in a single course.
03:40
Many people dream of their book becoming a bestseller and being picked up for movie rights, but did you know that converting your manuscript into a movie or television series script can be an effective way to get published? With Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and many others gobbling up material, there may be a more receptive path awaiting you there, which is why we created a course on converting your novel, along with the ways to go about trying to sell it that way.
We believe that every writer who desires to make a career out of their work should have a dedicated website, so we offer a course on why and how to create one.
04:14
It is only $295 to join Writers Club of America and then just $75 per year in membership dues. Writers Club of America will continue to add courses until we feel we have covered every aspect of career advancement for writers, and you will never have to pay extra for new courses.
The only additional cost options available are to pay for one-on-one services. Need an ISBN for self-publishing? We offer those here at a discounted rate – fifty percent less than others. We provide a detailed course that shows you how to set up your own website. If you need individual coaching, we can help, and the fee will depend on the level of assistance you require. We are not trying to sell websites; we are doing our best to empower you. The same goes for editing services for your manuscript, or anything else you may need.
We didn’t create Writers Club of America to be another leech in the system, but rather to be a cost-effective solution for writers.
05:10
Now for the future of Writers Club of America.
Once we have completed creating all of the coursework, we hope to soon host our next phase, which will involve establishing a new publishing house. We still have a lot to work on in that regard, but our goal is to create a hybrid model that combines traditional publishing and self-publishing, with the aim of increasing book sales and enabling our writers to earn a higher profit. We aim to commence beta testing by the end of 2026, with a full-scale launch scheduled for the end of 2027. This will be a members-only feature. As we get closer, we will make further announcements.
We understand that you have many options available, so we appreciate you taking the time to check us out! Best of luck to you on whatever path you choose, and we hope to see you around!
Later Gator!
**NOTE: This number actually refers to the publishing industry within the United States. If you take other countries into consideration and include the money writers spend on materials, courses, and so on, the actual number is substantially higher.
